Meaningful Afternoon @ All Saints’ Home (Yishun)

October 29 2019

Remember the flea market organized in April this year? The money collected helps to fund All Saints Home (ASH) to run activities for their seniors. Last month, we spent a meaningful afternoon reaching out to ASH’s seniors and engaging them in little games.

We have karaoke sing-alongs with the seniors, offering them a reminiscing and relaxing time. “Match the Colors” & Bingo games created opportunities for us to interact with the seniors.Chicken essences, cream cakes were the prizes for the games, with portable radios as the top prize for “blackout” bingo.  Light refreshments like spring roll & desert “Bubur-cha-cha” were the yummy treats for the seniors and us.At the end of the session, we wheeled back the seniors to their respective wards after distributing them a small goodie bag that contains daily necessities. Hope that we have brought them smiles and creating a little variation in their daily routine.

Look forward to another fulfilling day again! Thank-you to Mr. Edmund and Ms. Katrina of ASH to guide us along the whole afternoon.
